What is diabetes?

Diabetes is more than a simple disease, a lifelong condition associated with increased risk of many serious conditions like heart disease, stroke, cancer and may cause long term complications affecting nerves, eyes and kidneys. We examined a study; And here is what we found.

Glycemic and Cardiovascular parameters improved in type 2 diabetes with high nutrient density (HND) diet by D.M. Dunaief, J. Fuhrman, J. L. Dunaief, G. Ying in type 2 affected US women aged between 30-80. Glycosylated hemoglobin was around 8.2 at the initial stages. After the introduction of a high nutrient density (HND) diet for 7 months, their (HbA1c) levels dropped from 8.2 to 5.8, along with that, women whose blood pressure were above 148/87mm Hg dropped drastically to 121 / 74mm Hg. This suggests that a high nutrient density (HND) diet was effective in controlling type 2 diabetes along with reduction in blood pressure.

Some of the natural diets that should be considered daily are; one large portion of green salad, one bowl of vegetable bean soup, 1-2 ounces of raw seeds & nuts, while avoiding white flour, sweets, oils and limiting animal products to 10% a week. Eating these foods can help you lower cholesterol and improve health & beauty. 

In his book “Eat to live” Dr.Fuhrman gives good positive vibes on controlling type 2 diabetes.

To conclude, the study suggests that a high nutrient density (HND) diet can be a very effective intervention for type 2 diabetes.
